Man arrested for flashing knife

A person reported that a man brandished a weapon in the 100 block of North Coast Highway at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday.

A male reportedly flashed a knife at a Mobil employee after not finding the items he was looking for, according to the dispatch log.

Dustin Michael Nalwalker, a Laguna Beach resident, was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and brandishing a weapon.

Resident reports home ransacked

A homeowner reported that their home in the 31000 block of Ceanothus Drive had been ransacked at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday.

The person reported that they had just gotten home to find $12,500 worth of jewelry gone, according to the dispatch log and Lt. Jason Kravetz.

The suspect is unknown. The report has not yet been written.
