Man airlifted to hospital after he stopped breathing on beach

Laguna Beach and Orange County lifeguards helped save a man who stopped breathing at Tablerock Beach on Aug. 26, according to the Laguna Beach Fire Department.

A bystander reported to lifeguards that an adult male who appeared to be in his 30s was not breathing.

After Laguna Beach firefighters and lifeguards could not resuscitate the victim, he was transported by helicopter to Mission Hospital Mission Viejo, Division Chief Dan Stefano said.

He was listed in critical condition at the time. His current condition is unknown.
