Four-car pileup injures three
Four cars crashed at North Coast Highway and Emerald Bay, causing both northbound lanes to be closed Thursday morning, according to Laguna Beach police.
Three individuals were transported to Mission Hospital Mission Viejo with unknown injuries, Sgt. Louise Callus wrote in an e-mail. No arrests have been made.
“I do not have any further status on injuries or how this accident happened,” she wrote.
Northbound traffic was backed up to Cress Street and Emerald Bay was reduced to one lane in both directions, Callus wrote. Tow trucks were on scene.

Woman accused of denting vehicle
A woman was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park at 11:29 a.m. June 3.
A man reported that the woman ripped a mirror off a car and began hitting the vehicle with it in the parking lot of the park, denting the hood of the car.
She also began to throw rocks at the car and pedestrians, the man told police.
The man attempted to detain the woman once he realized she was trying to get into the vehicle.
The woman, a Livermore resident, was arrested at the scene.

Man held in bar assault
A man was arrested at the White House restaurant after allegedly attacking a man with a drinking glass Friday night.
Officers responded at 11:42 p.m. after the restaurant reported that a customer was bleeding from the head after being hit with a glass by another man.
A Laguna Beach man, 53, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was taken to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach to treat the gash on his head.

Officer honored at Angel Stadium
The Laguna Beach Police Employees Assn. will recognize Laguna Beach patrol officer David Gensemer today during Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at Angel Stadium.
Gensemer was given the award of Orange County Top Cop for 2010 for his heroic work in the line of duty, saving a stranded Laguna resident during the December mudslides.
The resident was trapped in a vehicle in a flooded street.
