Woman reports attempted sexual assault
A female client of Massage Envy reported that a male masseuse attempted to sexually assault her in the 600 block of North Coast Highway at 5:22 p.m. Sunday.
She said the man pulled down her underwear while he was giving her a massage. When she realized it, she turned around to find him with his pants off. He then attempted to have sex with her, she said.
Mark Peregil Valenzon, 33, of Lake Forest was arrested and taken into custody for charges of attempted rape after authorities conducted a lengthy interview. He was released after posting $100,000 bail.
The female was not injured.

Suspected mail robbers arrested
Three people were arrested in the 800 block of Bluebird Canyon at 8:13 a.m. May 5 after officers noticed they were acting suspiciously and pulled over their vehicle.
The officer noticed large amounts of suspicious property in their vehicle. After investigating, they deduced that the suspects had been driving around, stealing mail from mailboxes that had their flags up.
Some of the property in their vehicle was determined to be stolen from a South Laguna residence.
Clifford Wayne Cameron, 32, of Santa Ana, Danielle Nicole McCaughey, 29 of Orange, and Gerald Adam Royster, 30, of Long Beach, were all arrested for receiving stolen property, mail theft and conspiracy to commit a felony.
After a parole search of their Anaheim hotel room, officers discovered more stolen property and methamphetamine. Cameron and McCaughey were charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Sgt. Louise Callus.

Yorkie allegedly killed by pitbull
A person in the 1200 block of Anacapa Way reported that their Yorkie was killed by a neighbor’s pitbull at 9:04 a.m. Monday.
Both owners were also allegedly bitten during the incident.
Officers talked to seven neighbors, who said that the dog had been outside before and was known to be aggressive.

Three Arch swimmer OK
A Three Arch Bay resident called police after noticing a swimmer in distress in Lighthouse Cove at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The swimmer was able to get out of the water safely on his own but was shaken up.
He and three of his friends were advised regarding trespassing into the community.
