The City Council approved May 3 an agreement that funds festival brochures that identify parking spaces downtown, as well as fees and incentives for parking at the ACT V lot, where visitors may board buses to the festival or into town.

ACT V will accommodate 264 vehicles. It will be open daily June 24 to Aug. 31. Fees will be $7 per vehicle per day. However, $20 will buy a Festival Season Pass, good for entry to all three festivals for the whole season, and includes free parking for vehicles with city shopper’s permits or Passport Vouchers.

The Passport package includes entrance fees for all three festivals for the entire season and one day of free parking at ACT V for $19. The city gets $3 of the $19, discounted from the regular city rate of $7 a day.

Portable restrooms will be in installed at the lot.

Free trolley service begins June 4, the day that Art-a-Fair and the Sawdust Art Festival open, and runs through Aug. 28. Limited service will continue between ACT V and the Festival of Arts, through Aug. 31.

The trolleys will be in service from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m., with the loop from ACT V and downtown starting an hour earlier.

Parking at the Forest/Laguna Canyon lot will cost $10 a day, starting June 21. There will be no free parking in the lot for locals during the summer.

Public parking will also be available at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St., and at Hagan Place at Third and Mermaid streets.
