Jewelry stolen from Kokopelli Gallery
Kokopelli Gallery was reportedly burglarized this week after a city employee noticed a smashed window there Wednesday morning.
A public works employee reported to police around 9 a.m. that the storefront window of the gallery at 332 Forest Ave. was shattered.
According to Lt. Jason Kravetz, when officers arrived they discovered that a large number of jewelry cases from inside the store had been taken.
A rock had been used to break the window, according to police. The owner was notified and soon arrived at the scene.
Police said they estimate about 20 different pieces of Native American jewelry were stolen. They are valued around $10,000.
