Business sponsors sought for Literary Luncheon
The American Assn. of University Women-Laguna Beach is looking for businesses to sponsor tables at the 24th annual Literary Luncheon, to be held at 11 a.m. March 19 at the Surf & Sand Resort, according to a news statement from the group.
The luncheon will feature three women authors: Tatjana Soli, “The Lotus Eaters”; Julia Amante, “Evenings at the Argentine Club”; and Lisa Napoli, “Radio Shangri-La”. Scholarship money raised at the luncheon supports the group’s mission of empowering women and girls through education.
In the spring, scholarships will be awarded to two Laguna Beach High School seniors; three women returning to college, one each at Saddleback Community College, Laguna College of Art and Design and UC Irvine; and funds will be given to 10 middle school girls to attend Tech Trek, a summer science camp.
For a $1,000 donation, businesses can get a reserved table for 10 at the event; recognition on the AAUW-LB website, on event posters and in the program; and a three-quarter page ad in the program. For more information, contact event chairwoman Kimberly Salter at (949) 230-1169.
