South Laguna garden expanding
The South Laguna Community Garden is expanding into a lower section, according to garden organizer Ann Christoph. The expansion will mean that more plots will be available after stairs and planters are built, in addition to fencing and other work. A garden work day is at 9 a.m. Feb. 26. Prospective gardeners and others are invited to help. Early participants will have first choice of garden plots, according to Christoph.
The garden, at Eagle Rock and Virginia Way, has received three awards since opening in December, 2009. For more information, call Bill Rihn, president of the South Laguna Civic Assn., (949) 415-1312 or visit https://www.southlaguna.org.
