Grace A. West
Grace A. West died March 30, 2011, in Laguna Hills, CA. She was 91 years old and had a wonderful life! Grace was born February 6, 1920, in Kingsburg, CA to Rachel May Williams and John Richard Williams. She was a graduate of Inglewood High School, and received a B. A. in Liberal Arts from Santa Barbara State College. There she met and married John B. (Jim) Kilroy. The had five children: Susan J. Hahn, Anne E. Kilroy, John B. Kilroy, Patrice M. Kilroy, and Dana E. Pantuso. Grace was a volunteer in P.T.A., the Childrens’ Home Society, and the Spastic League, as well as other charities. She was a very generous person and loved to entertain and travel.
Grace was a wonderful artist working in water colors and collages. She loved to paint flowers and landscapes. On May 5, 1973 she married William I. (Bill) West, a professor in forestry products at Oregon State University. They spent half of the their time in Black Butte. OR. and the other half in the Fallbrook Escondido ares. She liked to play golf and bridge.
Grace was preceded in death by Bill in August, 2009. She will be
greatly missed by her five children, sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A family celebration of her life will be held on May 21. Instead of sending flowers, you may donate to the art department of the school of your choice.
