An investigation continues this week into the death of a 32-year-old man, who police said died after a shooting Saturday in the Oak View neighborhood of Huntington Beach.

Police responded to two reports of gunfire near the intersection of Koledo Lane and Barton Drive at 9:12 p.m. Saturday, Huntington Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Carey said. Officers arrived and found the 32-year-old male unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police announced Sunday afternoon that the victim, whose name was withheld Monday by the Orange County coroner’s office pending the notification of relatives, had died after being transported to the hospital.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, Carey said, and no further information has been released on a possible suspect.
