Fashion Island rings in the Year of the Ox

Fashion Island is ringing in the Lunar New Year with free augmented reality experiences and promotional deals.

Signs that state “Scan for a Lunar New Year Surprise” are in the courtyard of Neiman Marcus, in the Atrium lawn nearest to Chanel Beaute and Restoration Hardware and in the Nordstrom courtyard.

The signs include a QR code. Interested visitors can take pictures with augmented reality characters and backgrounds, including an ox, cherry blossom tree and lanterns.

Visitors can also take pictures at a photo wall near Voluspa.

The photo opportunities will remain through the end of February.
