4-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley sends person to hospital
At least one person was rushed to a hospital Saturday morning after a crash involving at least four vehicles on the southbound 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley, authorities said.
The condition of the injured person was not immediately known.
The crash occurred at about 8:20 a.m. near Euclid Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicles involved were described as a U.S. Postal Service truck, a Honda Accord, a pickup truck and a Honda sedan.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene in response to a “heavy rescue” call for at least three patients, one of whom was rushed to a hospital, according to Metro Net Fire Dispatch.
A SigAlert was issued at 8:37 a.m., closing four lanes of the southbound freeway. The SigAlert was canceled at 9:32 a.m.
