Two H.B. residents and one F.V. man dead after separate rollover crashes on Utah interstate
Two Huntington Beach residents and a Fountain Valley man were killed in separate rollover crashes on a Utah interstate, according to authorities.
The first happened at about 3:55 p.m. Sunday when a 2003 Ford Excursion overturned while traveling west on Interstate 70, about four miles outside the city of Green River.
Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. Starla Leal, 38, of Huntington Beach died at the scene. Trevor Manning, 29, also of Huntington Beach, died a short time later at a hospital, authorities said.
The second crash occurred at about 1:10 p.m. Monday about eight miles east of Green River. A 1999 Lincoln Town Car was heading east when it overturned and came to a rest on its roof, according to authorities.
The crash collapsed the roof, pinning the driver inside. Emergency workers cut his seat belt and lifted him from the car, but he was declared dead at the scene, authorities said.
The man, who was traveling alone, was identified as Douglas Hughes, 83, of Fountain Valley.
