Rebecca Taylor to open at Fashion Island

Women’s clothing boutique Rebecca Taylor is set to open in Fashion Island in late fall, according to a news release.

The 2,000-square-foot retail space in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard will be the New York-based clothier’s first Orange County store.

The full collection of Rebecca Taylor clothing and accessories will be available at the store.

“When designing the Fashion Island store, Rebecca wanted to reflect her lifestyle and create an oasis in Orange County where women can shop, enjoy a glass of champagne and be treated to a personally tailored shopping experience,” Beth Budgaycay, executive officer of Rebecca Taylor, said in a prepared statement. “Our brand has experienced significant growth over the past few years and when we implemented our retail expansion plan, Fashion Island was top priority.”

In other new store openings, The Gap launched a women’s sports and activewear store, Athleta, on Aug. 31. Located in the Nordstrom wing, the store offers a range of fitness apparel and accessories.

Standard shopping center hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
