Pet of the Week

Max is often described by volunteers as a perfect gentleman, because his behavior around people and other animals reveals a maturity beyond his 2 1/2 years.

This golden retriever mix ended up as a stray when his former owner gave him to another person, who soon lost track of the dog. His microchip led to the original owner, but housing issues prevented her from taking him back.

However, at the shelter, Max does not lack for friends. He loves to be petted and give kisses, as can be seen in his photo. Easy to walk, quiet and obedient, Max is a great all-around companion who would thrive in a family environment or as a special buddy for anyone.

Max is healthy, neutered and apparently house-trained. His adoption fees are discounted 25% all week when this announcement is mentioned. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
