Pet of the Week

Zeus is a 7-year-old American bulldog mix whose owner died in June, leaving this pet without a caregiver.

He is generally healthy and fit, benefiting from recent veterinary attention, proper diet and exercise at the shelter. This care also allowed him to slim down to around 100 pounds.

Although Zeus behaves reasonably well around other dogs on walks, he can be rambunctious in confined kennel conditions. Typical of the bulldog, he is sociable and confident around people, if not always aware of his own size and strength. Such a strong, muscular breed requires someone who can lead with kindness and firmness. Ongoing training will help channel his energy and exuberance into positive activities.

Neutered, house-trained and raring to move into just the right household environment, Zeus will have his adoption fees discounted 25% all week, with mention of this announcement. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit ochumanesociety.com.
