Pet of the Week

This companionable cat is probably a ragdoll mix, based on his distinctive blue eyes, medium-to-long coat and color-point markings.

Ragdolls are known for their almost puppy-like behavior. They enjoy following people and being held like a rag doll — behavior that led to their unusual name.

Fabio is true to this breed, with his striking seal-point coloration and his delight in being around humans. Typically docile and sweet tempered, ragdolls get along well with children, other cats and even dogs. Likewise, their gentle nature means they need the protection afforded indoor pets.

Found as a stray last month, Fabio is healthy and about 3 years old. He will be neutered upon adoption, and his fees will be discounted 25% all week with a mention of this announcement. Fabio greets visitors with a friendly paw and readily collapses into welcoming arms or laps.
