Pet of the Week

Dynamo is a relatively unusual hybrid dog, a mix of Great Pyrenees and border collie. Sadly, he was surrendered last month when his owner’s living conditions changed and prevented Dynamo from remaining.

In his former home, he proved to be friendly, energetic and ideal for a household with no other pets. The owner also indicated that Dynamo is good with children, obedient to basic commands and well behaved when left alone. Despite his size — he is quite large at nearly 100 pounds — volunteers have found him easy to walk and very affectionate.

Dynamo is healthy, neutered and house-trained. This is a dog who welcomes exercise and is eager to please. He simply needs a welcoming and more expansive environment, since kennel accommodations are rather snug for this gentle giant.
