Pet of the Week

When Paul arrived in January as a stray, everyone at the shelter expected this Chihuahua mix — shown in his favorite red jacket — to be quickly adopted. Surprisingly, he has yet to find the right home.

Paul is quiet and well behaved. At 6 years old, he should have a long life, which is typical of his breed. Paul walks obediently on leash, exhibits good manners with other dogs and is obviously house-trained.

He dearly loves being cuddled and sitting on someone’s lap, but while affectionate with most adults, he may not do as well around small children. Weighing just under 5 pounds, Paul is generally in good health but will benefit from routine dental attention. He will be neutered upon adoption.
