Pet of the Week

Snowball arrived as a stray, with his exact heritage unknown. However, he is thought to be a mix of basset hound and a smaller terrier breed.

Whatever his roots, this fun-loving, tail-wagging and up-for-anything guy wears a perpetually happy grin on his muzzle. While sometimes a bit noisy and rambunctious in his kennel, once out for a walk, he instantly becomes calmer and delights in exploring the outdoors.

At about 2 years old, Snowball is healthy and weighs 35 pounds. His luxuriously thick coat will look its best when regularly brushed. Given such energy and enthusiasm, Snowball is a classic candidate for more training, but his genuine affection for people — coupled with an easygoing nature — should make him welcome within any active household.
