Samantha came to the shelter because of a divorce. With current attention on Sochi’s Winter Olympics, one can easily imagine the forbears of this 6-year-old Siberian husky mix — with her luxuriant fur coat and gorgeous blue eyes — pulling a sled or cavorting in the snow.

This healthy girl is spayed, house-trained and generally obedient. Like all huskies, she is energetic and craves attention, preferring not to be left alone. Accustomed to long daily runs, she would do best in an active household with older children and a securely fenced yard. She is not aggressive with other animals, but naturally dominates at 90 pounds.
