Laguna Beach will host Artist Open Studios from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Art aficionados are invited to visit and observe 29 local artists — from glass blowers to sculptors — as they work in their studios.

Admission is free. Guests can also use the event’s free parking and shuttle service from the Act V parking lot, 1900 Laguna Canyon Road.

Jazz Wednesdays Winter 2014 features the Latin Jazz Syndicate Quintet, featuring Bijon Watson, from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15.

The event, presented by Laguna Beach Live!, will be hosted at [seven-degrees], 891 Laguna Canyon Road.

The Laguna Beach Film Society presents a screening of “Llyn Foulkes: One Man Band” at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at South Coast Cinema, 162 South Coast Hwy.

The artist who is the focus of the documentary will be in attendance.

For nonmembers of the society, tickets to the screenings cost $10 at the door ($5 for students). The cost is $20 if a 6 p.m. pre-screening reception at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive, is included. Members are admitted free.

No Square Theater presents “Lagunatics 2013 — Extended Gagtime” at the Forum Theater, on the Festival of Arts grounds at 650 Laguna Canyon Road.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25 and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19. A gala will take place at 5 p.m. Jan. 26, followed by the show at 7 p.m.

Tickets to Friday and Saturday shows are $45, Thursday and Sunday are $35 and the gala is $100.

The Laguna Art Museum will roll out its monthly Kids’ Art Studio from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19.

During this hands-on art-making program, children and their families will work on mini-clay pots inspired by artist Adam Silverman. No reservations are required. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is held every third Sunday of the month. Admission is free for members and for nonmembers with museum admission ($7 general and $5 for students and seniors). Museum admission is always free for children 12 and younger.
