Pet of the Week

After spending her first three years in a happy home environment — including kids and dogs — Zoey faced an abrupt adjustment when her family could no longer care for her. Shelter life was bewildering for this “social butterfly,” who loves people and bonds quickly.

Always eager for play, Zoey is a typical high-energy pit-bull mix who needed to improve her manners; fortunately, a local trainer volunteered to work extensively with her. Now, she is much better behaved, having learned many words and commands. Zoey is healthy, spayed, house-trained and relatively easy to walk on leash. Her striking black and white coat as well as attentive expression is hard to resist. This “butterfly” yearns to alight in an active, loving household.

Zoey’s adoption fees are discounted 50% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
