Officials announce theme of 2013 OC Fair
The theme of the 2013 annual Orange County Fair will be based on food, fair officials announced Thursday.
“Come & Get It” will be the slogan for the annual summertime event in Costa Mesa, which runs from July 12 through Aug. 11, Wednesday through Sunday.
A cast of characters, whom they’re calling the “O.C. Foodies,” will accompany the theme. Their names are Cornelius, Arturo, Carl, Dip and Scoop.
Fair officials cited the popularity of cooking shows, home cooking and fair offerings as the reasoning behind the choice.
