Newport Beach Relay for Life

The 11th annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Newport beach kicks off at 9 a.m. at Newport Harbor High School, 600 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach. A Luminaria Ceremony in honor of cancer survivors and in memory of those who have died of cancer will happen after sundown. Fundraiser for American

Cancer Society

Kathryn Smith, a Costa Mesa resident, along with Betty and David Comegys — and the San Diego Padres and American Cancer Society acting as a third party — are organizing an event at Sunday’s Angels-Padres game at Petco Park in San Diego to benefit the ACS. The group has reserved the top floor of the Western Metal Supply Co. building near the left-field foul pole at Petco.
