Tree Lighting

Fountain Valley hosts its annual tree-lighting ceremony at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst St. The festivities last from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and include fireworks, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, food, games and more. Equestrian Center Boutique

Red Bucket Equine Rescue hosts a holiday boutique to raise money for its 96 rescued horses at the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, 18381 Goldenwest St., Huntington Beach. Youth Shelter Benefit

The Community Service Program’s Huntington Beach Youth Shelter hosts its 15th annual “Light a Light of Love” holiday celebration in downtown Huntington Beach around Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway. The program includes a Soup for Youth food-donation event from 2 to 5 p.m., a children’s parade down Main Street (led by the Ocean View Little League World Series champions) from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., entertainment at Pier Plaza from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and a pier-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
