Valentine’s Day Letters

Dear Jam, this Valentine’s Day got me thinking...

I have loved you for almost 15 years ... who would have thought that time would fly by the way it has?

This year, I realized that Valentine’s Day isn’t just about you and I ... it’s about us — the three of us! I luv us! Our family is the most important element in our lives, and having Bennett is the best thing that you and I have accomplished to date. He is such a miracle. He completes us, he has healed us, and he is a product of us, and for that I am most proud!

I feel like the luckiest woman in the world because of you two. I know that it sounds cliché, but it really is the truth! Thank you papa for being the best dad, dedicated husband, and hard worker that you are. None of it goes unnoticed or unappreciated. We hate that you have to travel so much and work so hard, but we are always so happy when you are home and we have our family time together. Our bike rides, our picnics, our times playing baseball in the park and “exploring” at the beach are so much fun.

I just always want you to know how much we love you! So this Valentine’s Day, I want to say Happy Valentine’s Day to you and my precious boo boo! You’ll always be our little monkey!

You both make me so happy and thankful for every single day!

I love you!

We celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, and we have been together for 25 years. You are a terrific husband, the best dad to Page and Megan, and a loyal friend.

I am constantly amazed about how you can overcome 30 surgeries to your knees, back, ankles and shoulders, as well as your autoimmune system disorders, and still try to help others. You overlooked your pain to ease the pain and care for our dying friend, Bucko, in our home and never complained.

Even if no one else notices all of your random acts of kindness, your family does. Don’t ever change your warm and generous heart.

I love you.

To my wife:

Happy Valentine’s Day for being there for me and our family the past 10 years. Can’t thank you enough for everything you have done to keep a roof over our heads, even on days when we only had a few bucks for a gallon of milk.

I love you. Happy Valentine’s, Mona

My Sweeeetheart, “E.”

When I met you just a few days before Valentine’s Day three years ago, little did I know I could and would fall so deeply and passionately in love with you. “E,” you have brought so much joy and peace and laughter and wonderment to my life. I ask you today to be my best friend. Will you be my Valentine forever?

I love you, both now and beyond,

Your Finn.

I am writing this note to John Park, my husband of almost two years, because I want him to know that I am very happy and love my life with him! Thank you also for the fun and exciting life we have together. It is the best being in love with such a wonderful, loving person. I thank you for being there for my boys and being such a good example even when it is hard to be. We are truly blessed.

Love, Franny

Kelly, if you had told me 15 years ago that I would be married to a great mother of two/awesome feline veterinarian/fabulous cook who also happens to run marathons, I would have said, “That is great!!!!”

With love, your Bubbie.

Jugiebelle,

Being with you is the best thing that ever happened to me. It is sometimes amazing the zingers that life throws at you. But those experiences have just made us stronger and made us appreciate how special our life is together. I love you with all my heart baby. Let’s go somewhere warm. Happy Valentine’s Day!

The jokes, the songs, the cigars ... You’ve put a smile on my face, and in my heart as well.

Do I love you? “You bet your life!”

We Never Stop To Say Thank You For The Many Hours.

You Have Stood By My Side And Gave A Smile,

As If To Tell Our Hearts It’s Been Worth Every Mile.

You Say Without Words That In Your Heart All Is Right.

We May Say I Love You Throughout The Year,

The Words So Sweet And Straight From My Heart,

That Your Life Would Be Lonely Without My Part.

I Look In To Your Eyes And Say I’m Glad You’re Mine.
