Trick or Treat Festival

The 18th annual Trick or Treat Festival will offer free candy and treats for children 12 and younger in costume, face-painting, magic shows, games, an exhibition of reptiles and a Halloween Hearse Show with varying times for activities. The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Orange County Market Place, at OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. Admission is $2 and children age 12 and younger are admitted free. Southern California Moon Festival Gala

American Southern California Economic and Culture Assn. will host its third Southern California Moon Festival to celebrate the full moon of mid-autumn. The event is at 7 p.m. at Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242 Campus Drive, and features a concert with traditional and modern Chinese song and dance. Tickets are $8 to $50.
