Refunds offered for Willie Nelson/ Alison Krauss show
The OC Fair & Event Center is offering refunds for the July 19 concert by Willie Nelson & Family and Alison Krauss & Union Station, which was canceled because of rain.
“While we thought the show could go on rain or shine, the weather pattern changed and the amount of rain we received was unprecedented for our venue, forcing us to cancel at the last minute,” fair management said in a statement. “We know that your time is valuable and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”
Refunds are available at the point of purchase, which may include Ticketmaster or the fair box office. Buyers may also use their tickets as a substitute for fair admission on another day. In addition, parking tickets may be mailed for a refund to Admissions/Willie Nelson, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA, 92626.
A rare bout of midsummer showers caused the cancellation of the show, which would have featured the two country bands along with dobro player Jerry Douglas. It is the only concert in the Pacific Amphitheatre’s Toyota Summer Concert Series to be canceled this year.
