Community Animal Network has pre-veterinarian student interns from UC Irvine and community colleges that aspire to be accepted into veterinary schools.

Donations to Community Animal Network provide for treatments, procedures and surgeries to local animals and at the same time allow students to learn supportive veterinary aftercare to the rescue animals that are treated by local veterinarians.

CoCo Puff had multiple lipomas which are benign lumps due to an overgrowth of fat cells. Her lipomas became very large and kept growing until they had to be surgically removed. Lipomas move freely under the skin and are rare in cats and more common in dogs.

Donations are needed in order to raise enough money to cover the surgery cost of $579.46. Christina Rostami, a UCI pre-vet student has been working at Community Animal Network and caring for Coco Puff, cleaning her wounds, giving pills and pain medication and brushing her rotund body.

Community Animal Network is interviewing summer session pre-vet interns now. Students get an early start on learning to pronounce diseases and medications as well as learn how to give the animals pills, injections and administer life-saving fluids and pain medication.

Your donations give young aspiring veterinarians the hands-on animal care they need prior to applying to veterinary schools.

Please donate to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658. Memo: “CoCo Puff”; Tax ID 33-0971560
