Volunteers wanted for Newport Beach Film Festival

The Newport Beach Film Festival is seeking volunteers for its 16th annual go-round, April 23 to 30.

Among the volunteer duties available are guest relations, merchandise sales, theater ushering and office reception, according to festival spokeswoman Cory Ceizler.

Prospective volunteers must attend at least one orientation meeting and may sign up for specific shifts.

Volunteers under 18 must have a signed parental consent form, and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Upcoming orientation sessions will take place at 9:30 a.m. April 11 and 10 a.m. April 12 at the Lido Live theater, 3459 Via Lido, Newport Beach; 6:30 p.m. April 14 at the old City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd.; and 9:30 a.m. April 18 at the Lido Live.
