The Balboa Fun Zone marks its 75th anniversary by rolling back tickets for rides to 1936 prices. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., people can ride the soon-to-be dismantled carousel for a nickel, the Ferris wheel for a dime, Harbor Cruise rides for 25 cents, as well as visit the ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum for 5 cents. The Fun Zone is at 600 E. Bay Ave. on the Balboa Peninsula.

Great Park Saturday Offerings

A free cheerleading clinic — led by Keith Jones, ex-captain of the USC Yell Leading Squad — takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Great Park’s North Lawn. Clinic is open to children aged 7 to 10. Next Up and Peopletree

The Next Up Foundation and Peopletree host a two-part fundraiser to benefit underprivileged youths.
