Village Entrance project public workshop Tuesday
Laguna Beach will host a public workshop to solicit design ideas for the Village Entrance project on Tuesday, according to a news release.
The workshop will begin with a summary of feedback received from the June 23 walking tour and online comments.
Attendees will participate in a collaborative design exercise, and the project team encourages the public to bring images and graphics to be included as part of an “idea wall” for inspiration.
The Village Entrance site and related project elements are located near the intersection of Laguna Canyon Road and Forest Avenue, an area currently used for parking, storage, city facilities and an active sewer lift station.
Project goals include enhancing aesthetics and overall image while maintaining parking and space for public facilities. The proposed project will beautify the area with landscaping, a pedestrian/bicycle pathway and an exterior renovation of the historic sewer digester facility, the release says.
The workshop goes from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Laguna Beach Community & Susi Q Center at 380 Third St.
