New court date set in boyfriend slaying case

The pretrial hearing for a woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend has been delayed.

Michele Lynn Green, 50, will be due in Orange County Superior Court on Aug. 5.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigators say they believe that Green killed Richard Begely, 52, her live-in boyfriend, following a domestic dispute on Feb. 21.

Authorities found Begley, a 1980 Laguna Beach High graduate, with a stab wound to his upper chest and lying in a neighbor’s yard on La Vida Drive in Laguna Niguel around 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 21.

Paramedics tried to revive Begley, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
