A Billboard chart-topping musician will be making his Laguna Beach debut in June when he performs a private concert in support of independent radio.

Chris Barron, whose rock band Spin Doctors was best known for 1990s hits like “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong,” will play a fundraising event for KX 93.5, Laguna Beach’s only FM radio station.

The third annual KXclusive benefit will take place June 6 at a private Laguna Beach ocean-view estate. Catered food, signature cocktails and craft beer pairings will be offered, according to a news release.

In addition, a live auction will be held for items that include a trip for 10 to Telluride, Colo.

The radio station is hoping to raise $35,000, with 100% of the earnings going toward KX 93.5’s operating budget, the station’s development director, Monica Silva, said in an email.

“[We need] it to keep the lights on and the equipment up to date and fixed and for programming talent and to bring music, talk, news and events like concerts to Laguna Beach,” she said.

Tickets are $195 for general admission and $295 for the VIP package, which includes preferred seating, a meet-and-green with Barron and a private tour of the estate.

Tickets are available on KX 93.5’s website, https://www.kx935.com/kxclusive.
