Ocean group seeks tidewater docents

The Laguna Ocean Foundation is seeking volunteers for its tidewater docent program.

The next training will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 15 at the Back Bay Science Center in Newport Beach, 600 Shellmaker Road.

Participants must be at least 18 and able to volunteer at one of the coastal tidepool sites once monthly. Tidewater docents educate visitors on how to protect coastal resources.

The Laguna Ocean Foundation is dedicated to sustainable ocean ecosystems along the Laguna Coast.
