A free, half-hour docent-led tour of the renovated Laguna Presbyterian Church will begin at 11:15 a.m. Sunday. Attendees will learn which design elements connect to the coastal town setting; what Celtic design is repeated throughout the Spanish mission-style sanctuary; and how the foundation is built like an ark. The $11-million restoration project preserved the 1927 building from earthquakes, flooding and leaking and restored the interior to its mission-style architecture with a warm color palette and wrought-iron details. Project architect John Loomis of 30th St. Architects, Costa Mesa, also designed the renovation of the old great church of Mission San Juan Capistrano. The church is at 415 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach. For more information, call (949) 494-7555. Docent tours are scheduled on the first Sunday of each month.
