New Year’s Tidepool Walk
Start the year off on a guided tidepool walk to Pelican Point when the tide will fall to a very low-1.0. Meet at 1 p.m. at Pelican Point parking lot #2, at the top of the boardwalk near the parking lot (from Coast Highway, turn coastward at Newport Coast stoplight, right at the kiosk and left into the first lot.) $15 day-use parking fee.

Conservancy Dinner
Join the Laguna Canyon Conservancy for dinner at Tivoli Terrace, 650 Laguna Canyon Road, and meet Claire Schlotterback, executive director of Hills for Everyone, who will speak on Coal Canyon, Chino Hills State Park and the recovery from the 2008 Freeway Complex Fire. Yoga for Adults

HelpBlueWater.com volunteers meet at noon on Sunday at Mozambique’s lower parking lot for a weekly beautification effort. Free parking available.
