Garden Club Meeting
Horticulturist Ruben Flores will share his “tricks of the trade” for holiday gardens at the Laguna Beach Garden Club meeting at Tankersley Hall in the Laguna Presbyterian Church, 415 Forest Ave. The meeting begins with social time at 9:30 a.m., Flores will speak at 10:30 a.m.
Veterans Day Ceremony
The American Legion Laguna Beach Post 222 will put on a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. at Legion Hall, 384 Legion St. The keynote speaker is Judge David O. Carter, a U.S. district court judge. World Hunger Bowl
The World Hunger Bowl event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Aliso Creek Inn and Golf Course, 31106 S. Coast Hwy. Proceeds benefit the Laguna Relief and Resource Center. Food will be provided by French 75, Sundried Tomato, Watermarc, Sapphire and K’ya Bistro. Weekend at Nix Nature Center
Orange County Parks and the Laguna Canyon Foundation host “American Indian Stories, Toys and Games” from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Nix Nature Center in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Plein Air for Children
Artist Doug Stotts will teach a children’s plein air painting class from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hortense Miller Garden in Upper Boat Canyon. The class is open to children ages 8 to 12, and the cost is $25. To register, visit seedsed.org.
Research Facility Tour
The public is invited to an open house from noon to 2 p.m. in the Park & Marine Research Facility in the Historic District of Crystal Cove State Park. Guests will learn about science and research is being conducted in the park. Park in the Los Trancos lot and meet at Cottage No. 22.

Nature Walk
Enjoy a family nature walk at Crystal Cove State Park to learn about plants and animals living in the park. The walk starts at 9 a.m. Meet at the new Moro Day-use parking area amphitheater. There’s a $15 day-use parking fee.
DimeStories Open Mic
