Art-to-Go goes for the gold
The Festival of Arts annual Art-to-Go benefit sale is going with a “Go Gold” theme this year, according to organizer Mike Tauber.
One-hundred original works donated by Festival of Arts exhibitors will be for sale beginning Saturday at the preview night and daily from Sunday, when the show opens to the public, through Aug. 31.
Proceeds from sales of the works will benefit the Artists Fund, a disaster fund for local artists.
“We’ve helped artists recover from our recent winter floods,” founder and fund President Anne England said in a press release. “We’ve also helped provide medicine and housing for those with terminal illness.”
The works, many of which reflect the “Go Gold” theme, include oils by Scott Moore, Cliff Wassman and Caroline Zimmerman, photographs by Barbara White and Breck Rothage, and mixed media by Mia Moore, Gretchen Shields and John Taylor.
The Festival of Arts is at 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
