SUNDAY: Join Neighborhood Congregational Church for a free noon showing of “Fish out of Water,” a documentary about the Bible and homosexuality. The screening follows the church’s five-year anniversary celebration of being an official, gay-friendly “Open and Affirming Church” in The United Church of Christ during the 10 a.m. service. Needle Art Guild Meets
Join the Susi Q Needle Art Guild at its free monthly meeting on the last Friday of the month from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. Members help create various items for local organizations including Mission Hospital’s Oncology Unit and the Friendship Shelter. Learn to identify native plants from 9 a.m. to noon with Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteer naturalist Nadine Nordstrom (author of the South Coast Wilderness Plant Identification Guide) on this strenuous, steep and rocky, fast-paced, 4.8-mile loop with a 400 foot elevation gain. Learn how to search for health information online from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays, except on the Fourth of July, at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. Discover ways to recognize, prevent and treat diseases and conditions that occur with age and build your internet skills at the same time. Hike the Dilley Loop
Get close to nature on this
2-mile leisurely hike from 9 to 11 a.m. over steep and uneven terrain (370-foot elevation gain) as you spot plants and animals or
maybe just their tracks and signs along the way. Recommended for ages 12 and older. Event fee is $2 per person; parking fee $3 per vehicle. Meet at James Dilley Preserve, Laguna Canyon Road just north of the 73 Toll Road. Reservations are required by calling (949) 923-2235.

Yoga In The Park
Carl Brown, a registered Yoga Alliance instructor, provides a free yoga program at 8 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Montage Public Park. On rainy days, the class moves to the clubhouse at Laguna Terrace mobile home park. Students should bring mats; additional pads available on a first-serve basis. Seniors Ping Pong

Transition Dance
Transition Laguna holds an open dance party with a mix of world music from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays at the Woman’s Club of Laguna Beach, 286 St. Ann’s Drive. $10 donation. No partner necessary. A portion of the proceeds goes to Transition Laguna.
