SATURDAY: Brad Lancaster, author of “Rainwater Harvesting,” will give a free presentation on how to collect water from 10 a.m. to noon at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave., and a hands-on workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. at Anneliese School’s Willowbrook Campus, 20062 Laguna Canyon Road. Tickets are $35 for pre-registration and $45 at the event.

SUNDAY: The Laguna Beach High School Laguna Aquatics program hosts water polo alumni games and events to raise funds for the group. AARP Driver Safety Course

Learn safe driving strategies and defensive driving techniques from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. Course participants may be eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premiums. Lagunatics junior set the LagunaTots take the stage at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 6 p.m. Sundays at No Square Theatre, 384 Legion St. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children and seniors at nosquare.org.

Funds for Orphans

First- through fourth-graders from Community Learning Center will wash cars and sell baked goods from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the school district parking lot, 550 Blumont St. The event benefits an orphanage in La Misíon, Mexico. The cost is $10 per car and $15 for large vehicles such as trucks and SUVs. Tickets can be purchased from any CLC family or by contacting Pieter Wolters at [email protected].

Women’s Health Day

The Laguna Beach Community Clinic is offering free screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, anemia, HIV and osteoporosis from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Main Beach. This event is part of the 10th annual Women’s Health Day. For more information, contact Karen Deck at [email protected] or (949) 494-0761.

Earthquake Preparedness Seminar
