FRIDAY: Laguna Beach Seniors’ fifth annual Legacy Ball, honoring Ken Frank, will take place at Pelican Hill Resort, 22701 Pelican Hill Road South, Newport Coast, with cocktails, dining and dancing and a silent auction featuring vintage donations and artwork worth $200 or more. Music from the 1930s to ‘50s will be provided by the 17-piece South Coast Swing orchestra and the No Square Singers. Dress will be vintage formal. League Holds Meeting On Village Entrance

The League of Women Voters of Laguna Beach will present a town meeting on the long planned Village Entrance project at 9:15 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Laguna Beach, 429 Cypress Drive. Vera Martinez will moderate. Councilwoman Verna Rollinger will provide her perspective of prior efforts to come to agreement on this project. Also speaking will be landscape architect Bob Borthwick, who prepared proposed plans for the entrance and is also a member of the council-appointed flood-prevention task force. Make Your Own Sea Lion

Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is hosting an Art and Sea Lions class from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Canyon. Participants will take home a miniature sea lion sculpture, go on a docent lead tour of the center, and see sea lions undergoing rehabilitation. Ceramics expert Jan Sattler will lead the sculpture class. Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children 6 or older. Advance registration is required.
