Jamaican Purim
Celebrate Purim with a reggae twist at Chabad Jewish Center, hosting “Purim Jamaica,” an island-themed holiday bash, at

The event, geared for all ages, features a Megillah reading, reggae music and a Drum Café with local musicians Jah Amen Mobely and David Gad, plus island-themed crafts for kids, face painting, hair beading and a Jamaican barbecue buffet. Reversing Diabetes
Feel Well 4 Life, a detox and wellness center, will show the film “Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days” at 7 p.m. The film chronicles six diabetics who claim to have reversed their medical condition in five days by changing their diet to one consisting of vegan, raw food. Pam Sterling, a raw food coach, is co-sponsoring the showing. Feel Well 4 Life is at 1409 Glenneyre St., Laguna Beach. The Hortense Miller Garden covers 21/2 acres of the upper slopes of Boat Canyon and features a range of plants and small-themed gardens.
