Art Walk

Join member galleries from 6 to 9 p.m. the first Thursday of each month for a festive cultural evening. The next Art Walk is Thursday. Asterisk [*] denotes the participating galleries.

Dedicated shuttle service starts at 6:15 p.m. from the Laguna Art Museum at North Coast Highway and Cliff Drive, and Bluebird Center, 1590 S. Coast Hwy. Shuttles run until 8:45 p.m.

Current exhibition:

Until May 20: Pieces from the collection representing artists who worked in California in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are in the upstairs gallery.

Opening exhibitions:

Opening Sunday: “The Postwar War: 1945 to 1980,” Southern California artists in this seminal time. Through April 29.

Opening Sunday: “Victor Hugo Zayas: Mi Obra,” paintings and sculpture by the Mexican-American artist. Through April 29.

Special Events:

5:30 p.m. Saturday: Special members only unveiling and opening reception for Victor Hugo Zayas’ gun sculpture series, with remarks from LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and Deputy Chief Patrick Gannon, curator Gregorio Luke and new museum executive director Malcolm Warner. The series is made from more than two tons of destroyed guns in the LAPD Gun Buyback Program. The sculptures will be on display to April 29.

1 p.m. Sunday: Lecture by Victor Hugo Zayas. Open to the public.
