Sew dresses for Africa
Laguna Presbyterian Church’s Dresses for African Girls project sent 92 dresses and 20 pairs of shorts to Africa on Dec. 8. More dresses are needed and a sewing workshop will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 415 Forest Ave.
“We have three sewing machines at the church, one a Singer Featherweight, one White Sewing Machine, and my own Viking 700, or you can bring your own machine,” said Diane Cullings, who is organizing the project. “Or you can take home kits with all the supplies to make three dresses, or use your own material to make the dresses.”
