Burbank police pivot to social distancing for Easter egg hunt
In an effort to encourage residents to remain safely at home this holiday weekend amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Burbank Police Department will hold a social-distancing Easter egg hunt.
Children who want to participate in the hunt can go to the department’s website and download an Easter egg template to print out and decorate.
According to a statement from the department, children are encouraged to tape their decorated eggs to a window of their home that faces the street with the design facing outward.
Officers will then be on the lookout for those eggs on Sunday during their patrols and will share photos of the ones they see on social media.
Residents are also encouraged to show off their eggs on social media as well and tag the department in any public posts.
The template can be downloaded by visiting burbankpd.org.
