Logix employee at Burbank branch tests positive for the coronavirus
Logix Federal Credit Union has temporarily closed its Burbank branch after being notified on Thursday that an employee at the location tested positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
According to an email sent to Logix customers on Friday, the employee last worked at the branch, located at 2340 Hollywood Way, on March 25 and is recovering at home.
Other bank employees who were in direct contact with the infected employee were asked to stay home under a 14-day quarantine.
Customers of the bank who visited the branch between March 7 and 25 are being asked to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s self-monitoring guidelines and to call their healthcare provider if they develop any symptoms.
As of Friday, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed 50 cases of the novel coronavirus in Burbank, and 4,566 total cases countywide. There have been 89 deaths in the county tied to the virus.
