Huntington parades its Fourth of July spirit

Huntington Beach’s “Sounds of Freedom” parade marched up Main Street on Saturday from Pier Plaza as the annual centerpiece of the city’s Fourth of July celebration.

The weekend’s festivities include fireworks at the pier at 9 p.m. Saturday, plus concerts through Sunday.

Earlier Saturday, the Surf City Run featured two 5K runs, a 5K stroller run and two races for children, and the Kiwanis club held a pancake breakfast at Lake Park.
