Great estates: Seaside Estate Services will host a massive warehouse sale of estate and consignment furnishings, antiques, vintage clothing, housewares, kitchen goods, books, records and more from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 3501 W. Moore Ave., Unit A, Santa Ana. Word to the wise: Expect to poke around and see what you can find in a packed-to-the-gills experience. It’s not ideal for those who prefer Nordstrom-style shopping. Slap of this, dash of that: Slapfish is celebrating the Feb. 2 opening of its third Orange County location, at 2727 Newport Blvd., Newport Beach, with a recipe contest. Chef and owner Andrew Gruel will give the winning dish a place on the menu for two months, and the winner will be able to enjoy it for free whenever he or she visits the restaurant. Off topic: The fourth annual Off Center Festival returns to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, from Jan. 21 to 31. Enjoy a wide range of avant-garde and contemporary theater, music and dance. Some events, including a Jan. 24 concert by Nick Waterhouse in the Arts Plaza, will be free. Ticketed events start at $25, though $10 student rush tickets may be available one hour before each performance (two per person with valid student identification).
